VA will not accept defeat. We will not quit, and we will not leave behind a Veteran who has fallen to a Gulf War illness."

All talk and propganda. The fact is veterans who got sick outside the "offical" new story area for exposures will always be denied and left behind. The VA showed that in day one of Gulf War Illness then when to many were sick for that to work they decided to try a new tactic. That tactics is yes its sad some the veterans are sick but only the ones are offical records say are sick.

Many Navy veterans are aware of your bosses stance that Agent orange veterans from the deep water navy cannot be service connected.
Reason lack of evidence.
It's one the favorite tactics of the VA deny service connection for some veterans while approving others to show that they are fair and impartial.

Navy veterans served this country just as well as Army veterans often deploying into harms way even in peacetime. Yet the new and improved VA seems to only recognize Gulf War Illness in deployed in the Desert Veterans.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2270430534591439047.post-20186547075435411352011-02-25T18:26:03.625-05:002011-02-25T18:26:03.625-05:00Quote "That’s why VA recently provided presum...Quote "That’s why VA recently provided presumption of service connection for nine new diseases associated with service during Operation Desert Storm. "

Very good for veterans that were in the desert or that are on that approved list. Try being a Navy veteran with the same symptoms and see how you would feel. Let me save you the trouble of trying that:
Request for service connection= Denied
Rash= denied
Pain= denied
headaches= denied
exposure= denied no proof
head trama= again denied not related to symptoms
blood enzyme disorder that responds badly to any kind toxic exposures= denied no proof.
VA diagnosis: Psychogenic in nature not service connected.

Navy veterans in general are often denied service connection but especially in hot topic like this one. The VA mission is to make sure that their mission coincedes with the offical public story. At first that was Gulf War Illness does not exist go away it's all in your heads. Now its it exists but only in the offical records that we have trust us the first time was mistake not a lie. The public is shown how the VA takes care of wounded veterans but the lime light is never shined on what occurred to Gulf War veterans.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
